Senior Full Stack Developer

Our client, a pioneering social platform at the forefront of delivering immersive social gaming experiences, is embarking on an exciting phase of expansion. As they navigate through rapid growth, they are in search of a seasoned Senior Full Stack Developer/System Architect to play a pivotal role in advancing their technology, optimizing their platform for scalability, and guiding their tech team towards exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Optimize and scale an existing Laravel-based application to efficiently support tens of thousands of real-time users.
• Enhance the performance and scalability of REST APIs for seamless integration with payment systems and other services.
• Implement strategies to transition from monolithic to microservices architecture, improving system scalability and maintainability.
• Advance the CI/CD pipeline to ensure swift deployment cycles and high-quality code releases.
• Identify and rectify performance bottlenecks in the existing codebase, ensuring optimal operation during peak traffic periods.

Required Experience:

• Demonstrated success in scaling web applications in Laravel for high-traffic environments.
• Expertise in PHP, Laravel (including Laravel Nova), Vue.js, and PostgreSQL.
• Profound understanding of both monolithic and microservices architectures with the ability to navigate between them seamlessly.
• Familiarity with AWS services and their utilization for enhancing application scalability.
• Strong background in DevOps practices, particularly in CI/CD, to facilitate streamlined development and deployment processes.
• Proficiency in Git and adherence to version control best practices.

Nice to Have:

• Leadership experience in guiding teams through scaling challenges and architectural transitions.
• Proficient understanding of mathematics, probability, and statistics.
• Knowledge in Data Science.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is a must.
• A graduate degree is highly preferred.
